Extremly Glitchy, I dont think your game is going to be bad, but I can't say ANYTHING with that demo.

I liked the two outdoor scenes the best.
Rather bland thus far without player animations and such. Hit me up a PM with a new SWF when it's available, i don't want to miss out!
maybe you could make it more zoomed in. I can't really appreciate the appearance of the protagonist when he's so small. So far though it looks pretty cool.

The game looks alright, it has potential, I dont think it should be shown at such an early stage.
Also I have a suggestion that you should increase the height and width of the screen and make your character bigger so you can see the details of his drawing.. right now it just looks like some stupid little ant thing you can barely see. And when you zoom in, its actually a good character drawing. As are the drawings you posted above! Those look sweet!
Anyways, i am hoping the engine becomes much better with ability to run around and stuff. Cant wait to see it finished. I really do like your artstyle.

Yeah I'm gonna be switching up the engine so the hitTests don't shit all over everything like they do now.
